Tacita Dean is an artist who lives and works in north London. She works with photography, video, installation art and performance, but her work is not limited to these media. She has created work for many different projects including exhibitions at Tate Modern, the British Library and the British Museum. Dean was born in London in 1974
Her first solo exhibition came to London in 1998, at White Cube gallery. She then showed work at the Butler Institute of American Art (2000), the Sydney Biennale (2003), The Saatchi Gallery (2004) and Tate Modern (2006). Since 2006 she has exhibited regularly at Tate Britain.
